Bahrain Air | Custom Logotype & Typography

The Challenge: Budget airlines rarely inspire confidence. Bahrain Air needed to beat that perception from the very first glance. The brief called for a dual-personality brand: friendly and accessible to leisure travellers, yet formally credible enough for corporate aviation. The logotype had to feel kinetic and forward-moving at a business card scale and on the side of a plane.

The Solution: I developed bespoke Latin letterforms built on the structural elegance of Lucida Bright Italic, then pushed them further: customising strokes, and terminal curves to inject aerodynamic momentum into every character. The result was not just a logotype, it was a typographic architecture. Those Latin forms then became the structural reference for Brand Central's Arabic lettering, ensuring both scripts read as one unified visual voice across two writing systems.

The final logotype functions seamlessly at every scale, from boarding pass to fuselage, in two scripts, without losing an ounce of energy or authority.
