Hummingbird Technologies | Brand Renovation, Sub-Branding & Corporate Identity

The Challenge: Hummingbird Technologies trades in industrial machinery, a sector where trust, precision, and authority are everything. Their existing identity was soft and dated, built around an abstract, flowing mark that failed to project the formal credibility their business required. They needed a brand that felt sharper, more commanding, and genuinely distinctive without abandoning the name they had built equity around.

The Solution:  The hummingbird is one of nature's most precise creatures: the only bird that hovers completely still while its wings move at full speed. That tension between stillness and velocity, between control and power, became the conceptual foundation of the new identity. I redesigned the mark around that signature pose, giving it structure, direction, and authority that the original completely lacked.


The new visual system extended across a full sub-branding architecture for HB Cutting and HB Promotion, each sharing the master symbol while establishing its own typographic character. Corporate stationery completed the rollout, bringing consistency across every touchpoint.
